Hi, I'm a 3ds max modeler. But, alot of people tell me that max models can't be imported into SL. I'd like to know of a way that I can model objects like meshes and import them into SL.

I guess what i'm truly trying to ask is what program would be best to give the most similar effect to max meshing?

For Example in Max: Creating a plane, holding shift on a edge, then dragging and creating new faces, while slowly mapping out a detailed mask. Of course, adjusting vertices when neccesary. Alot of topology manipulation.

Once I finish a mask, I'd like to import it into SL to create sculpties ^_^ Is there a program with a similar model system to this?, or maybe a way for max to import something like this?

Sorry for the randomness, but I never really worked with sculptys because I could never import them. I'd like to design, but I can't if I can't figure this out X_x. Thanks for reading. ^_^

Max can create sculpties just fine, but as with any other sculpty medium, its limited in faces, vertices, etc.

The thing is how sculpties work, they only allow for so many vertices. You can make a super hig detailed model, export to sculpty, upload into SL and...see it craptacular. You can do some wonderful modelling with sulpties, but not super high poly and such.

Iono how to use Max..but heres a link you should find helpful
