How to delete/remove a large building?

I have a very large building (or tower). I need to remove it (the whole building) but don't know which commands to use. Please help.

"Select only my objects" in the menu system. Go into edit mode. Put your camera where you can see the whole building and none of your own you don't want to move. Draw a square over the build. Right click and select "Take". Whole building will now be in your inv. Click on "Recent " at the top of your inv and rename this item to your building name.

If the building is really huge it may not be all in one linkset...........but the taking or deleting is the same. Right click on the building and choose edit. Whatever is linked together will be highlighted in your viewer. The box that opens when you go to edit has a "more" button.....click it to expand. Look on the "object' tab to see if it's locked....if it is uncheck the small block. Then right click the same spot again and either "take" it from the first pie menu or choose "more" and then "delete". If there is more to the building after that, do it all over again.

This assumes, of course, you own the building. If not you won't have those options. But if you own the land you can return it. And maybe delete it..not sure about that though.

Taking puts it back in your inventory.......deleting sends it to your trash folder. Returning it sends it back to the owner of it. And if you don't own it and "delete", I don't know where it goes.

It just vanishes...forever.

Unless there's some way that I'm not aware of to get something restored that goes poof on the asset server. If there is I'd like to find out how because I've been waiting over a week for a response to a ticket I sent about something that disappeared from my inventory during all these asset server issues.
