Okay, not me, but my partner. My partner is building some incredibly cool stuff, and over the last couple of days (and several sim/server/region crashes and software updates later) has started noticing that these items she's been working so damned hard on now list " nobody)" in the creator field. Huh? How can any object in SL have (nobody) as the creator, let alone items she's spent 40+ hours making? Is this a recent problem, related maybe to the recent server updates or something, or is this just symptomatic of a deeper and more systemic problem? I had her give me one of the items just to see whether it still said (nobody) when it was in my inventory, and it does with 100% consistency. How do you have confidence that you can create and sell items in SL if it can't even be relied upon to remember that you created your own stuff?

It could be a prim that somone elss made. Or it also can be a script that somone elss made. If you have a script in the object that no modify it can do this. That might go for textures too I am not sure about that one. But it is because it was made by somone and when you link parts together it try to put 2 owner name but they nock each other out. So it just says (nobody)

I've seen this on items I have created by other people. Usualy when looking at the properties directly from my inventory, they will sometimes show 'Nobody'. After I rez it in world, it will properly show the creator. Possible bug?

That is not a bug. When you have the object in your inventory. And the object was made by more one person it show as nobody. But when you drop it on the ground and click on it under edit. It show the name of one how made the prim that all other prims are linked to.

Thanks for the replies folks. It turned out that it was because I had given her a script to use, and because the object as a whole was made of parts from more than one person, no single person got attribution. Easily resolved by just giving her the scripts in NotePad and copy/paste <grin/>
