I cannot select the building because its to big to be selected.. i cant link the parts because they are to far away from eachother... how tall is it? How many 10 meter prim walls make up its height?
I'd first link the individual floors into linked sets. Then I'd capture the entire set of linked sets using a drag/select box. Once done youcan take it into inventory.
If its TOO big to view completely for a drag select, then you could buy a building rezzer that has you put a "child" script into each linked set and then sets each "child" linked set to a main script....this keeps all the coordinates of the linked sets relative to the main script, and allows you to move or place the entire building just by moving the main script prim.

Search the scripting forums for "builders' buddy" for a free rezzing script. It works pretty well for large builds.

Most my bigger stuff I just link in sections and then save the peices individually. I tried to use the builders tab thing once, but I just couldn't seem to figure it out..
