I am new to this game, and first off would like to say thanks to every other gamer out there.
I was wondering if i brought lets say an house or building to place on land, can i be able to place that same house/building a second or third time, or will i have to buy it each time? The building i am looking at is mod/copy only.
This might be a noob question, but once again im new!

Yep, for this particular house - that's what "copy" does. As long as you don't delete or lose the original, you can place as many copies of the house as you like. You can also pick them back up or simply copy/paste within your inventory to have multiple backup copies, or multiple copies you may have modified in unique ways.
You won't however, be able to "transfer", i.e., sell them or give them away. Most non-free items come with either copy or transfer enable, but not both. Other houses may be no-copy yet transfer, in which case you'll only be able to use it once but you are free to resell it or give it away down the line.

thanks for the reply, greatly appreciated that is exactly what i was looking to hear. So if i was to sale the land i would have to move the building before doing so. That is no problem with me.
thanks again!

Now that I see your reply and re-read what I wrote, I think I should clarify something: any house you buy, even a no-copy model, can be "taken" back into your inventory to be used again somewhere else if you decide to move. It's just that with no-copy you'll only be able to have one house sitting out at a time, whereas with copiable houses such as the one you mentioned you could place any number of them out at once (if you have the land to put them on). The other advantage to copiable houses is that if you modify the house and decide you don't like the changes you've made, you'll always have an original backup copy to go back to.
Maybe you already figured that part out, but I thought I'd better mention it since you're new to SL and I'd hate to accidentally steer you wrong.
