I need some help figuring this one out.

I have an item. Said item is a scripted item in which there is a notecard that users can edit to effect some changes.
The script is set to no-mod, yes-copy, no transfer.
Item is set to yes-mod, yes-copy, no transfer.
Box containing said item is set to yes-mod, yes-copy, yes-transfer.
I put said box into a hippotech update server. Which has several other objects inside it with various perms.

Ok done? Not really... Seemingly at random, said box containing scripted item completely changes perms while in the update server to match the script perms. Meaning, user can't edit notecard. This issue is driving me nuts (and my users). Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a better way?

Thanks,
Tharkis

displayed permissions in inventory are of the lowest common denominator. when the box is rezzed in world, the notecard (assuming all permissions are are available to it) should be normally editable, regardless of what the inventory listing states.
