Hi all!

As per my earlier post about water falls .. I have another question. The waterfalls I'll be trying are at the ends of small rivers I've built across the sim. Now have read as many of the posts that I could find, and in general have the rivers near what I want. But ... the one issue I have is where the prims of different sections meet. If the river was to flow straight across the sim then there would be no problem. But since rivers tend to meander .. mine do too. Thus where the prims meet I cannot join them flush. As well many a long mega-prims so cannot edit their forms. And where they overlap the color is different obvioulsy.

Other than creating regular 'joint' prims for the intersections ... does anyone know of another way to solve this overlap issue?

Thanks in Advance!

There's no really good solution that I know of.

Use as few joints as possible. Megaprims, with their edges hidden by the riverbanks, can help.

At joints, narrow the river by putting in some rocks at the bank. Or a fallen tree or other obstruction. You may also add a "rapids" roller prim.

I tend to disguise such seams with plants or rocks or other prim objects... I also use normal prims so I can tilt and re-shape sections as needed.

Recently I've had good luck with some sculpty flowing water, that has a rippled surface. Overlapping those uneven edges doesn't look as bad as two flat prims that mismatch.
