Hi DFox,

You have to overlap prims, each with it's center in one of the sims, so when you cross, and the prim beneath you gives way, there is already another one from the next sim waiting to catch you. You can build the bridge to look any way you want, and just make the trick prims invisible if that works better.

To see an example, look at the prims that make up the highway bridge between the sims Liome and Clonmel. You can walk or drive either direction, and the prims "catch" you.

Double primming can sometimes be unreliable...I do a lot of bridge linking for sims. The best way to avoid the "doomed fall of death" is to keep solid land under the section where the sims connect. Or, if possible, give the illusion of the sims connecting with the a bridge but keep the actual bridge on just one sim. I have a huge one on my sim Rivet Town with which I have done the latter.

And it isn't unreliable if you do it right. The bridge at Sunrise Hopes is as solid as any you could ask for, and is a good 30 M above the sea floor where it crosses the sim boundary.
