You mean besides checking the Lock checkbox on the Object tab?

Right click any object you own and hit Edit. See the blue and gray window that pops up? That's called the Editor window. Click on the More button at the lower right to expand it. Now, see the five tabs that appear across the top of the lower section? Click on the one that says Object.
On the Object tab, you'll see all the parameters for whatever object you have selected. At the upper left of the tabbed page, you'll see four checkboxes. The first one on the list is called Locked. Check that box, and the object will be locked in place. Uncheck it to unlock.
