Hi all - I'm going for the prize for dumbest question, but I can't seem to find this info elsewhere! Hope I've picked the right forum for it.
I'm trying to tidy up my inventory some, and am using inventory boxes for stuff I know I want. However, I have loads of stuff I'd like to be able to pass on to help newbie's, just as I was helped when I first came inworld. It's currently clogging up my inventory no end. I thought I'd just dump it in prim boxes and give those, but can't seem to fit more than about 20 items in a prim. If I have to go the prim inside a prim inside a prim route, it's going to take me forever!
So, how many objects fit inside a prim?
Or is there an easier way to be kind to newbie's without an inventory of 10k+ items?
Thanks for reading, many thanks if you answer!!

Thanks for reading, many thanks if you answer!! I'm not sure how you're doing it, but I have a 3 prim vendor that has 150 different items in the root prim as well as the config notecard and vendor script. I also have a rez-faux house someone gave me that's in literally 75 pieces, all in the rez-faux prim along with the miscellaneous scripts and notecards that come with rez-faux all by itself. Personally, I've put a TON of things in a prim. The freebie box I have at my store has over 200 items in it. Try transfering 10 at a time to the prim. A

I have upwards to 500 items in some of my storage boxes - but with more than 200 items, if the sim is being slow, can take a long time to load the window, and to add new items.

It depends on how closely the prim resembles a car, and how many of the objects to go into it are clowns.

Lol at some. At others, thanks.
I've simply just created the box, right clicked, gone to the content tab and am dragging and dropping the items into the box. I thought that was the right way, if not apols.
I have also tried transferring in small numbers, ten at a time, first 20, no prob, after that I waited for nearly 20mins without the transfer going thru.

The previous 255 items limit has been removed some time ago.
There are already too many freebie boxes, unless you are putting in new items, there's no need for another box. If you still want to do it, try not to add items that griefers could use against you.

I'm intrigued and concerned as to how griefers could use items against me, but obviously if I ask how they could that'll give them ideas so I won't!!
I know there's lots of freebie boxes, but rather than tell a noob to go away and find their own stuff, I'd like to be able to give them something to get them started.
Maybe I'll try in another sim or something.
Thanks guys.
