Hello all, While I have been a reader of these forums from the time I joined Sl back in January, this is my first post.
After seeing a recent television commercial for LG televisions, I wondered if anyone had ever tried to create on in SL. I searched in world and had no luck. So my question is this, is this something that can be created with the current physics engine, or would it be better to wait for the new Havok4 engine to go mainstream?

You can do it with the current physics engine. I did a prototype once and there were no major issues; I just didn't feel inclined to spend the time to take it to a finished state.

I've been on a bobsleigh run - it was cool - so it is possible. Not sure where it was now, sorry.

Doing a bobsled run should be no diferent than building a water slide, and there's plenty of water slides in SL.

Keep in mind that you can build a *real* bobsled that works using physics, or you can build a *similated* bobsled that works by moving from point to point like a train on invisible track. You could even build a sort of hybrid that does not use physics but still requires skill to steer, and follows the terrain. Lots and lots of possiblilities. Now, where to find a mountain  |

someone just posted in RA that they'd built a working bobsled run at one point... think it was the post about what to do with someons new 8k plot... if not search it, there was also a mention of a star trek borg crash site if that heps narrow it... too lazy to search it myself, but I thought of this post when I saw it
