Problems with linking

Okay - I've read all there is about linking and have linked many obects (it's not my first rodeo) - but today I can't get several objects to link. I'm not going over the max link amount - 31prims. Is it just me or is there a problem, or am I missing a trick?

Very frustrated! Any help?

31 prims is the limit for physical objects, but if you sit on it you count as a prim, if you and a buddy sit on it you count as 2 prims ect .. since you didnt give much detail thats all i can assume

if its non physical you can do upto 256 prims as long as they are close enugh together

now that bounding box is a pita, mainly based on quantium physics, 11th century magic and some startrek politics ... noone can really give a forumula to it, but if all prims in the object are relitivley the same size it should be ok

more detail would help alomst every time a link fails theres a error message

Thanks, I was not aware of the avatar count - so that may have been part of the issue. I know of the 31 prom limitation, so that was covered. The error message continues to be "cannot link, objects too far apart." However, the objects are next to each other. I had hoped this was some SL system problem - perhaps not.

Thanks again.

The max link distance for large objects is something like 32 m, but it is much smaller than that for smaller objects.

Sometimes the linking options seem to tie themselves into knots (the link option not even showing in the menu) and you need to relog to make it work.
