Swing Door Link to House?

Hi, I know this must be somewhere - but can I have a simple answer, how can i link
a swing door to the house without the entire house swinging when I touch the door to open>? Thanks in Advance, and sorry if this answer is somewhere amoung the number of other messages.

Try searching the forum archives for "door" or other obvious key words. My quick answer is that many door scripts are either immobilized or act up when you link a door to the door jamb. I tend to leave doors unlinked for that reason. I'm sure that other experienced builders in this forum will be able to recommend reliable door scripts that behave when linked, though.

just some pointers,

1. make sure the door isn't the prim root.
2. use a cut door, so the center becomes the edge
3. use the Timeless Door script, can be a right pain to set up, but once sorted works like a dream.
