After 3 weeks of haggling with lindens, supplying 4 DMCA takedown notices of a copybot ripoff of one of my yachts sold at Virgin Isle Marina, seems like lindens will not remove the offending files from their servers.
Their only action in response to the official DMCA notices I have sent them has been to return one copybotted yacht to the poor guy who got it as a freebie and rezzed it inworld.
The copies are still to my knowledge being distributed free, with all permissions included inworld and will obviously be a huge impact on my business and my reputation.
So, my question is, have others experienced the same problem? Lindens not fully complying with eliminating clear violations of copyrighted materials? would like to hear from others on this issue.
Is my situation unique, or is this standard practice from lindens? Also, looking for a good copyright attorney. please IM me inworld.
