There is a forum for texturing. That's where you should be for finding how to make t-shirts.
There are a bunch of stickied threads at the top of the texturing forum. That's where to start reading. _____________________

Yup, you're in the wrong forum, so do try the Texturing Tips. And if you really want to start with T-shirts, the easiest way to do it is to follow Robin Wood's tutorial at http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/SL-Tuts/SLTutSet.html . It's a good one for beginners.
