Snow?

How can I make the ground of my parcel look like there is snow there?

On a private island, it is possible to change the ground textures, and you can even use different textures at various altitudes (sandy beach, grassy plain, rocky hills, snowy mountaintops). If you're on the mainland, though, the only way is to either buy land in the snow sims (where it is snowy all the time), or you can texture prims to look like snow and carpet your parcel with them.
