Hello, i just joined and as everyone you will need money to actually enjoy this life to fullest(Except if you get stuff free ofc)
So now i ask what SELLs so that i can make some money, i just learned the basics(editing prims to make other stuff) and i do C++ in real life quite well so LSL shouldnt be much of a problem to me.
How do you people make money?
Maybe i should join a group for questions...?

LOL ... Welcome aboard. The key to making money in SL or RL is to create something that other people don't have the time or skills to create for themselves, and are willing to pay for. For most people, that means taking some time to become proficient with SL's tools for building, texturing, and scripting. If you have prior experience as a graphic designer or in another MMPORG, you may pick it up quickly. Mostly, though, be prepared to do a lot of study and a lot of practice. Good luck. BTW, you may find that many people will get ticked if you call SL a "game." You can find places to play games in SL, but SL is not a game itself. No goal, no "rules," no role playing unless you feel like it......

I've made a few extra L$ for custom scripting. This would be the route that I would prefer to go. Well, maybe put a few pre-made gadgets and scripts up for sale, but mostly custom.
Once you understand States and Events, it's largely a matter of functions and syntax. Then start digging into efficiency, foibles, and other things. Shouldn't be too hard for a code monkey. I picked up LSL in a few hours of goofing around.

If i get it right. Yeah you are right, but i have "played" or run games mostly so pardon my word

From: Flame Static But people have pretty much "Made" everything and if they dont they pretty much have their "people" to ask about it. If i get it right. There's always room for someone with a new design, and there are always new customers. If you are creative, you'll do fine. Spend plenty of time wandering around in SL to see what sorts of things people are selling. You'll start getting ideas, I'm sure. It is tough to sell scripts by themselves unless they are real killer aps, but there's a great market for scripted devices. Dig through the forum archives here and the archives and library in the Scripting Tips forum to see what's possible.

Thanks i just figured i should maybe try making my own creations to use instead of buying them and gain knowledge with it.

improvements on old ideas is also a good market... and I have to agree with Abu, scripting on demand is also a really good market, especially if you're an efficiency junkie.
please be aware though that you may have to adjust some common pricing practices... scripting often won't pay a direct equivalent RL wage, but i've found that deeply discounting custom jobs and then reusing the code that you came up with to either supply other projects or sell directly makes up a large portion of the difference. I only tend to charge RL equivalents for folks that want to own the script out right, full permissions, and/or exclusive resale rights.
as for where to hunt for jobs to get started and make a name for yourself... products wanted furum a fes links down the list tends to get lots of these, and it's were several content creators skim through to pick up odd jobs.
