As a newbie to land ownership & building I was wondering if someone could just exlpain the amount of prims available? Basically do the amount of prims increase the more land you own or is each 'sqm' in SL worth a set amount of prims?
I hope I put that correctly!
Thanks,

Hi Lee - take a look at the question #6 in the land faq - specifically the last two columns. And remember that if you own two or more regions in the same sim then they add together to determine how many prims you may own in that sim. So if you have a 512sqm region and a 1024sqm in the same sim then you can spread your 117+234=351 prims on those two regions as you see fit. You could even put all 351 on one region if you leave the other empty.

Lee Naumova Essentially, unless you own the entire sim, it is easiest to just figure evey 512 sq m allows 117 prims. That comes out to approx 1 prim/4.376 m^2 or .229 prim/m^2 The actual numbers vary to a small degree as your proportion of a sim goes up, but only within the same sim, so unless you own 1/8 of a single sim or more, this is a good estimate within a prim or 2.
