I am trying to figure out how to make a hollowed half cylinder that tapers down towards the rear opening. It is for the main body of a chariot: (I'll just use path cut cubes for the back triangular parts) I suppose I could make a sculpt, but it would be nice if there is a simple (or not simple) prim setting for this. I tried playing with tapers and shear, but couldn't get anything that looked right.

Cylinder(or tube), hollow, cut, and shear it. You may have to embewd it into the chariot base a bit, but should work I think.

Thanks Keira, unfortunately, that's pretty much what I tried. I could get a slanted cut cylinder, but not one with one side longer than the other (to get that tapered look you see above). I suppose I could just go with that shape, but it just seems like something that ought to be possible using prim settings.

I think I found a way.
Use a tube (NOT cylinder) and set taper to whatever value, then also shear it. If you get the values right you should have it so that you can cut it down to half, and I think have the shape that you want.
I jusst tested this and with small, quick numbers it worked just fine, hoping you can get what you want exactly from it.

Alright, just took a little more time and it seems that after all that last method isn't quite right... it more or less levels out. It's the best I can offer for now though =/
Perhaps it'll help lead you towards a way that will work completely ^-^

Taper, path cut in half, mirror the half, match the texture up. THAT did it. Thanks!
