I have Blender and I have a low-end version of Carerra, so I *should* be able to eventually make my own sculpty prims. At this point I would really like to make some simple low-prim sculptural shapes: A shape like a diving fish, for a roof gable ornamentation in Japanese architecture; A couple of fox statues, like the foxes found at Inari shrines; and at least one fox head, also for use as an architecural decoration.
The problem is, I don't yet know where to start, with regards to making those sorts of 3D shapes, or applying a texture with any degree of accuracy to their surface.
Could anyone point me to some good starting resources for this? Many thanks.

Blender 3.44 & Sculpties

There is an excellent tutorial at: http://iramblesorry.blogspot.com/2007/05/how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love_28.htmlAlthough it is long, for the most part it is pretty easy to follow. I am new at both sculpties and Blender so it took me a few tries to get it right, but if you have the patience it's the best tutorial I've been able to find. Good Luck
