Hi,
I have managed to make a pool - almost!. I've made some water that moves and looks nice. I've made the water prim phantomed so I can "get in" it. However, when I add the water to the pool and link it, I either get non-phantomed water, or a completely phantom pool ie the walls, floor etc (dependant on the order I link the prims) Can anyone please explain what I'm doing wrong, please. Many thanks.
Lou

Sadly that happens with linked phantom prims. Don't link the water to the pool, there really is not another way around it minus having a non-phantom water. This is the reason why pre-fab pools/ hot tubs have separate water because of that issue.

Yes, it's pretty much all or nothing for linked objects. The simplest solution is to use a very basic script (the 'default' script with a single line to llRezObject in the touch event would suffice!) with that will rez your water surface seperately, either on command, by touch or simply whenever your pool is rezzed.
