physical prim gaps

I made a stack of cubes with "physical" checked.

The cubes had gaps between them? perhaps centimeters?

Is this normal, can it be cured?

That's normal behaviour for SL Physics. There is always that tiny gap between the objects - any closer and they are considered to be intersecting.
