If I create an object and enter 61,000 for the Z axis, does it really go up to that height? or Is there a build height limit?
this actually happened, and the object is not returned to my inventory. And, I actually went up to 61,000meters to see if it is there. No it's definitely not there.
Thanks,
Troy

I answered my own question: I found the object at 768meters. So SL automatically clipped the value down to 768meters? Should it have returned it to my inventory? Is it a feature or a bug? discuss... Troy

No non-physical motion is possible over 768 meters. Since that includes most operations involved in building (such as moving an object), 768 meters is referred to as the building limit.

...That being said, things like the Monkeyball Cannon can reach altitudes of nearly 2000m in physical movement.
