hi!
Im new in building in SL, so i got hexagon because i understand it better than the SL building tools.
Is possible to export from hexagon into a flexiprim in SL? or i have to modify the prim in hexagon to be a flexiprim itself?
Thanks

I'm not sure what Hexagon is, but the flexprim properties are set in the edit menu, third tab. Tick the "flexible" button and adjust the properties so it moves the way you want it to.
I haven't used any offline building programs to import into SL but the ones I have heard and read about weren't as reliable as I would want them to be. But that's just my opinion. Someone who may have used one of them should answer that part of the question for you. A _____________________

What is Hexagon, who makes it, and where can it be purchased?
Thanks! _____________________

Hexagon is not a replacement for the SL building tools. It is a 3d modeler that has the ability to output the proper format for SL's Sculpted Prim objects.
Here's some info about Sculpted Prims on the SL wiki http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Sculpted_Prims Here's a video that explains what sculpties are and how to use them in SL: http://www.shiny-life.com/2007/11/03/introduction-to-sculpted-prims/ _____________________

I'm not very good at making sculpties yet, and that's really what Hexagon is for, as far as SL is concerned. As far as I have been able to figure out, you can't upload anything EXCEPT sculpties from Hexagon. If you try to make one flexi, you'll find that the "Features" options in Edit are unavailable.
My advice?..... If you want to make flexi prims, do it the easy way, in world with SL's standard building tools. |

What is Hexagon, who makes it, and where can it be purchased?/QUOTE] http://www.daz3d.com/i/software/hexagon?_m=d Keep in mind that you can't use all of Hexagon's editing tools on your sculpted prim objects. There is also very little documentation from Daz relating to Hexagon & sculpties. Still a handy program. I use it when I need precise control over the vertices of my sculpty. It's actually quite similar to Wings3D, which is free program and can be used to make sculpted prims thanks to Omei Turnbull's converter plugin. _____________________

In a nutshell, sculpted prims do not flex. As for Hexagon, Vlad said it.
Not everything is appropriate for sculpting. I recommend going to the Ivory Tower of Primitives and going through its walkthrough tutorials for a better understanding of the inworld tools, prims, and how prims are manipulated. _____________________
