Queries about bought land, prims and invible hills!!

Hi

I've just bought a couple of parcel of land and joined them.
The Objects Tab on About Land" states that there are 46 prims on the parcel - 7 ownded by me, "39 selected/sat on". There are no prims to be seen! Can anyone enlighten me as to waht this means?

Also when walking across the parcel I seem to rise into the air at one spot and my walking becomes MUCH slower. If I stop walking I "fal"l back to the ground. It feels like I'm trying to climb over on invisible object.

Since I can't see anything I can't tell but I wonder if the unseen 46 prims and my "invisible hill" could be related?

Any ideas would be most appreciated!!

You may have someone "squatting" in the air above your plot - they can go all the way up to 750 meters. Use your object settings to return all items, and enable autoreturn on your land. See what that does for you, and let us know.

I have encountered this exact same problem before, along with several other people I know of. The only way we were able to get it resolved was by having the region restarted, if returning objects from the land doesn't work.
Ofcourse, looking at the blog right now... who knows whats going on

I think I have some idea of what's happening. Earlier today I bought two 512 parcels next to my existing 1024 and joined them all together. I then deleted all the structures I had on my original land so I could start again.

I've just subdivded the land back again - all the "invisible" prims are on my original parcel.

It looks as if they haven't been completely removed - I am pretty certain that the "rising up" is me trying to walk up a wall that I deleted (I tried walking up a new visible wall and got the same effect). The sim did "expereicne difficulties" just after I bought the land and starting joining it etc.

Does the above seem at all reasonable?

If so how do I overcome this - is a sim restart the best/only option? If so how do I request that?

Yes - that is the exact problem I had, except mine occured on a Private Island. I just obtained the land from someone who left the island. The previous owner of the land had a yacht. Myself and a few other avatars tried walking around and after a while we realized the invisible prim we would walk into and stand on ending up being the yacht lol.
We tried returning all objects (along with the Estate Owner) and it didn't work. Finally, after a region restart, the problem was solved. The invisible yacht was thrown to the 0,0,0 location on the island and was suddenly visable again, allowing it to be returned.
Right now it does appear there are issues with regions (see the blog) so I'm not sure if your problem is related to that and maybe it will be resolved soon. In the meantime, I would file a support ticket and ask for the region to be restarted due to phantom prims.
