Hello all Attempting to come out with something good from blender, I 'warped' out the vertices of my shape, to get a hole in the middle of the prim. Now... of course it did not work, as I suspected... but is there a way to come up with a shape that has a hole in the middle using blender? Right now I start with a NURBS sphere... would starting with a NURBS donut work? Also, I was wondering if anyone could advise about what program to use to adapt surface textures to sculpted using their UV map... I heard about it, but can't figure out how to do it. Any help will be appreciated^^ Thanks all Clio

Yeah, the donut, or torus, topology will work in SL. Check the documentation on the exporter you use for specifics. Most of them come with a template to start with now. You will need to switch up the sculpty topology from sphere to torus when you bring the map into SL. In the release candidate viewer you can choose topology right in the build window, in the regular you need to switch with a script. /8/60/256244/1.html#post1969904I'm not entirely sure what you are asking about regarding textures. Baking textures maybe? http://www.blender.org/development/release-logs/blender-243/render-baking/ There should be a bunch of tutorials for that floating about on the various Blender resource sites or just Google "Blender Texture Baking".

You can create surface textures with blender. See our video tutorial. which we just released it today. See http://machinimatrix.blip.tv/ and my post from earlier today in this forum.
