I found that I can get a base cape from Yahdin's junkyard... I found whats called Yahdin's flexi cape... It's considered an object and is very big. I was told I can down Size it to what I want but i cannot find how to edit it... pretty much I'm just trying to find a cape that resembles superman's only I want to make it blue...

Assuming that you have mod perms, select the cape with your edit tool, click the "stretch" radio button, grab a stretch handle, and pull (or push). Provided that the cape isn't too thin already, you should be able to make it the size you want. To make it blue, open the Texture page in edit and click the Color pane. Set your new color and close edit.

ETA: This is a basic editing skill. Good practice. To get MORE practice and learn how to do it right, visit the Ivory Tower of Prims in world. They have good tutorials. It's worth an afternoon of your time.

An alternative method is to right click the cape and choose Edit then hold down CTRL and Shift which will bring up the tiny resize boxes. then you just left click one of the white boxes and drag it to size required.

As previously stated this will depend on how thick the cape prims are as minimum thickness is 0.01m. the sizes of individual prims can be changed (depending on permissions) by clicking the Edit linked parts radio button in the Edit window and then changing the sizes in the object tab. If youy dont see the object tab click the More button.
