Hi Keith!
You might want to check out the Ivory Tower of Primitives in Noyo. It has an excellent visual 'how-to' library on building.
Do a 'Find' for Ivory Tower of Primitives to get the landmark.

Kieth, I don't know of any comprehensive online build tutorial. There are a few tips and tricks here in the Building forum and probably a few more on other sites, but to my knowledge, that's it.
