Okay, maybe I'm dense. I'm new to SL, and I want to know how to make custom humanoid or non-humanoid avatars.
Help?

first thing you do is decide what you want to make,... then you get a poser stand (msg me ingame and i will give you one free) then you use the stand to pose your avatar,. use primatives = prims = objects to make your creation. the best way is to have sections like hand, arm and such, then attach them to the correct areas, tweak as needed keep building till you have your avatar.
