Hello,

I work on 3ds max, and actually i use primcomposer to export it to second life.

My problem is prim composer is not compatible with Vray.

I see differents creations on SL who use Vray Light, so is there someone who can tell me what the tool i have to use to export my 3ds work with Vray?

I'm waiting for your answer

Thank you so much !

I assume by "incompatible" you are referring to the ability to render to texture based on the Prim Composer object surface options and materials. Most of the Vray users I've seen just do it manually.

There's an open vote on the Prim Composer site regarding adding Vray support. Last I heard, Shack doesn't have copy of Vray to use, so he seems to be asking the community how important it is to them. Possibly this is to gauge if purchasing Vray to integrate Prim Composer would be worth it. Go to http://liferain.com/downloads/primcomposer/ and give some input if you haven't already.

Pygora is right unfortunately, vray and a few others aren't compatible with prim composer, but baking them out with 3ds's own bake 2 texture solves that very easily. I've managed to bake out using most of the add on renderer's with no problem.

the big difference is using prim composer to render and import the prims it will set them to 0.95 repeats because of an edge issue. Am sure shack can explain it better but when baking manually you don't have that, so make sure to check the repeats on any prims uploaded
