OK I can't get the pic I took in world to show.....but i am trying an Xmas tree, I make a targa...place it on a prim, ctrl Z to snap it back and then rotate it, I have surmised that this is the way to make trees and statues and such.. but my best and last creation has all these green lines, a 'cage' type thing all over my lil tree. Yes I made all the edges transparent, and yes it looks pretty good EXCEPT for the green 'cage' surrounding it? Any ideas? Will post pic IF I can :)

Hi Nyx,

Did you apply a transparent texture to the edges or just adjust the texture transparency setting? Only a transparent texture will make the edges disappear completely. Unfortunately the transparency setting only goes to 90% and you’ll still see the lines.

If you still have edges with using a transparent texture than you’re probably seeing the texture repeat bleeding over on the tree image face. Adjusting the texture repeats from 1x1 to .99x.99 should make the lines disappear.

If you need a transparent texture give me an IM in game and I’ll send you one.

SL always needs more green :D

also you can make the cubes thiner by
changing the cube to a sphere and dimpling
both sides then change back to a cube

if you use a script you can set transparency to 100% and that type of transparency works without waiting for the transparent texture to load.
