I'm trying to figure out what prim to use to make the curved-up corners on Japanese style roofs (see the linked pics for an example). I've tortured the prims in every way I can think of and the closest I've come was using a cylinder, but the edges were wrong. Can anyone give me a clue? Thanks. http://www.digital-sledgehammer.com/japanese_style.jpghttp://www.digital-sledgehammer.com/japanese_style_closeup.jpg

yes, the main part of the roof is built out of cilinders (cut to shape). Now for those twisted ends of the roof, use cones and tiwst, shear or cut them till you end up with something like that. It requires alot of experimenting , but in the end i got it right

Looks like a cylinder, cut to 25%, hollowed all the way, and top-sized to zero in one direction.
