I want to make a word to paste as texture...

For example: Second Life.

I can do it in Illustrator for example.. save it as what?? jpg or bmp or others...

BUT!!

When I paste that as texture I cant get it right.. i have tried several ways but it will not be right... it get into repetition or change x and Y.. get condensed...

I WANT it to paste with same X and Y as i used in Illustrator - how to do that... pls some - before I get nuts.. (more than before.-DD)...

Must be something in the edit that I miss of course.. but what??

****

I can do it in Photoshop to if its not TO technical if so I am lost...

Hi,

Illustrator autocrops the dimensions of the document to accomidate just the contents of the document... i.e. if your canvus is set to 512x512 but the contents are 400X128, you end up with an image that is 400X128, not the 512x512 as expected.

You can fix this by setting crop marks at 512x512 or by placing a 512x512 background shape (like a rectangle the color you want the background to be) that fills the dimensions you want it saved as.

Hope this helps,
