Sorry to ask questions about this...but I really don't get it
First question: How do you make a prim object automaticly attach itself to the part of the body you want? You know, when you select "wear" and goes where it's suppose to go
Second question: How do you attach a necklace? I tried to make one and attached it to every part possible and it just wouldn't attach itself to the neck
Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot Hi Chocolat. Easiest answer to this question is just ask someone in-game. Just about everyone knows how to do this. How to you attach a prim to a body? 1) Design the prim. 2) Take into inventory 3) Right click inventory item, choose ATTACH and pick the body part 4) POSITION and ROTATE the item exactly where you want it. As for a necklace... you can attach it to 4 areas usually: *Spine *Chest *Left pec *Right pec Then just move it into proper postion. (I dunno, is there a "neck"? Don't remember one...) Hope this helps! __________________ Visit scenic ElvenGlen! Join Elf Clan, SL's largest elven fantasy group!

Once you have placed the item where you want to wear it, it will automatically go back to that position the next time it is worn. So, you only have to "attach to" the first time its worn, simply "wear" it after that.
Frequently, when you buy an attachment and are able to just "wear" it, the creator had already assigned it a place to be worn. But, body sizes and shapes are often different and you will have to edit the attachment into place. You can do this while its worn, simply click on it and edit, then move it where it needs to be. This can be very frustrating to get it right, just take your time with it.
I had a situation the other day where I wore a belly ring but I did not see it as being worn. I realized that the creator was skinnier than me and the belly ring was actually "inside" of me rather than on my navel. I could not see or click to edit it. So, I drug it to the ground and edited it and made it really big then reattached it. It was really funny attached to my navel like that, but I could now see it and re-edit it into proper size and position.
Your necklace should probably be worn on your spine. When you first wear it there, it will probably be in the middle of your back somewhere, so you will have to edit it and raise it up to your neck.
We really need a seperate attach point for the neck. Things like wings and backpacks, if worn, will replace the necklace thats already worn on the spine. Does anyone know if there is a vote on more attach points?

I have also seen necklaces attached to the chin or nose. I'd avoid using the nose for a necklace, however (though it works alright there once adjusted into place), as many prim hair designers use that as an attach for bangs.
If you ever run into the conflict of one item replacing another & you want to wear both, you can reassign it by taking the item to inventory & choosing Attach To -- attach it to a different spot & adjust it properly from there. It will remember the last place attached & go there next time.

Nose is a good attach point for head-oriented things (as are ears) but doesn't work for necklaces... as the necklace will move as the head turns. RE the prior note about more attach points... I'm all for that. For example, I'd like to see "Nose1, Nose2, Nose3, Nose4, Nose5" attach points. RE items that appear inside the body and need to be re-positioned... the method stated works for modifiable objects, but doesn't work for nomods. Here's a "tricky but works" method that will allow repositioning of anything: * Stand close to a wall. * Alt-zoom look at the wall and then "side-move" to the avatar. Your camera will actually pass through your avatar's skin and into the body. This is very touchy, but it does work. * Find the item and right/click edit it. * Position the item outside the body. From there on you can edit/position at will.
