Dunno what is happening...

Consider a simple scenario...

2 prims....both with the same size: 10x10x0.5

the first at position x,y in 130,125 at the sim

the second..at 140,125

So, 10 meters of distance, in the x axis...

and both prims...10 meters of size too..

So, with this snecario, a perfect junction should provide me a sensation of a single prim of 20x10

At least 5 days ago it was totally possible...but today if I do it, a sort of doted line appear separating the prims.A small milimetric space appear..

What is going on ?

If the measurements are correct this effect can happen when the faces of the prims are a noticeably different texture to the abutting edges and it will seem to change as you move closer or further away. Guess it’s caused by rounding errors as the graphics engine tries to draw the two prims. I try to get around it by using the same texture on the entire prim for the most important face and then if needed apply a different one to the less viewable face, works just fine for floors but is a lot more tricky when it’s a wall viewed from both sides.

:(

Using the same texture, etc...the thing persists..

guess...

I trying also a Builder studio to draw a floor plan...

same effect :(

I'm starting to consider that's happen after some uptate on the server.Because few days ago it's does not happens yet :(

I'm trying to research if there is others ppls with the same problem too

This always happens when there is an overlapping surface, although the worst is probably when it happens for everyone else and not you... this is a fundamental 3D rendering issue, also, not a SL specific thing. Anyway, the standard solution is to have them either not quite touch by moving them 0.0000001 apart.

You can also grow one a little so they only intersect and never have overlapping faces, by moving them into a collision by a millimeter, but then you need to grow one by a little bit in every direction because now that the touching faces don't overlap the outside faces will.

It's purely a matter of making them not mathematically occupy the same planes even though they are so close to doing so that it makes no visual difference.
