Help - lock/unlock object or prim - how to unlock?

Hi there,

Really new to the building thing but so far everything's going along well. My only issue is the "lock" checkbox on an object.

I'm building a skybox and I have, several times now, gotten something perfectly positioned and when attempting to edit another object accidentally moving or worse deleting the wrong thing. I'd like to lock the pieces as I place them. I can do that, no problem.

Where the problem is, is that I cannot UNlock them again once I've locked them and at that point the only way to do anything with the object is to delete it and start from scratch. HELP!

Oh and if it's important:

- I'm on my own land.
- I'm the owner of the object (not deeded to a group)
- I'm clueless apparently

If you happen to have Tools->Select Only Movable Objects checked, it will be harder to grab locked things to unlock them. Right-click to edit will bring up the edit box as normal, but not have that object in the window. You can typically right-click and pick edit again to get at that locked setting, but it's easier just to turn off the Tools menu setting.

Is this what is happening to you, or is your problem bigger than that?
