Is it possible to do booleans in the in-world editor?

How do you make arches, for example, without booleans? How would you make a grand piano?

no boleans beyond "and"

However,, you can "hollow" a prim, and use cut to eliminate a certain radial section of the object as meaured from the center.

These tools are limited though.

How can you make an arch?

Box prim.
Hollow X%
Hollow shape: Circle
Cut Begin: 0.0, End: 0.5

Stretch and texture to suit.

Want more? check out "Calgary Sandbox".. lots of architectural builds there.

Winter: thanks for you tip on hollows. i wouldn't have been able to make my concert grand piano without you... it's a bit rough, as i don't have the alignment of textures right (any advice there?) .... but here's what i have so far:

Jackline, I would say you're off to a very good start! Keep up the good work!

You'll probably need to play with texture repeats and with scaling the prims themselves a bit to get things just right, but you're doing extremely well so far.
