How do you split revenues to 3 people?

My friends and I combine our work sometimes to do a project because none of us is good enough to do everything well. What we want to do is split the sales of the item into 2 or 3 ways depending on who helped out. There is a "DEED to GROUP" option for an item that claims to split any amount of money into the item to the group. I have tried this with a ball costing 3L and it seems that it took my money and didn't split it to any of the other members. Also I have noticed that each time i click the Deed button to deed it to a group for an item, the price auto changes to something else. I am then unable to go back and redo the price.

Also, is there a way to specificaly split the sale revenue of an item with different people without starting different groups? For instant: I help John make item1 and I help Mary make item2.
Do I still need to start 2 groups since Mary and John don't need the split from each other?

Right now im using the honor system and just spliting the money with them each time i get a sale but it's rather anoying and when many days go by without a sale, others may think im keeping the money.

Basicaly this concerns me in more ways as well. I have a store with low traffic and I give them free rent in return for a percentage of the sales. Any script out there that can help me in this situation that anyone can suggest is also helpful.

My backup plan is to use the rent-o-matics but then it places me in a position to look like I would not care if vendors sell anything or not.

Thank you and sorry about my non-stop rambling.

Payments into groups are split at the beggining of the day. So you may have to wait up to 24 hours before you get the amount paid into them. A lot of vendors however support splitting profits between members, I'd probably seek one of them out.
