Hi, I'm trying to make a piece of jewelry, and I need a thinner cylinder than .01 m. Any suggestions? I tried the changing to sphere, dimpling, changing back trick, but that just gets me a shorter cylinder, same thickness.

You can get about half that diameter by starting with a tube, profile cut 0.38 to 0.88, then hole size "y" to the maximum (0.5). The hole size "x" affects the apparent length of the prim.

I'm sure there are Prim Torture experts who can get you further, but there's an easy one I know in case it's enough for your purpose :)

As Anti said, but use 0.5 and 0.75 for the profile cut and set hollow to 95%.

Thin as a sheet of paper.

Thanks, that helped a lot. Tube, cut, hole, hollow... now how did THAT ever slip my mind? *rolls eyes* Any suggestions to make it even thinner, like maybe appear to be about .003? Also, is there any kind of reference for prim torture? And do I need to get a leather catsuit and whip?

/me points to the 'HOW TO: Make Tiny Prims' sticky at the top of this forum.

Enjoy :)

P.S. - The tube trick is the tiniest cylinder I know of, really anything smaller won't be seen anyway.
