keep getting ' not enough leased parcels in selection to join' - what does that mean please?

Select two or more parcels at once if you want to join them. See the Select Land tool in the editor window? Simply drag that over your land to draw a selection box. Have the box overlap a property line bordering two adjacent parcels that you own, and you'll be able to join the two parcels to get rid of the line. That's it.
