Hi all.

Ive been lurking in the forums for some time... first post... Nice to meet you all :)

So anyway, I have an object I created that somehow has the Perms No Mod, No Copy AND No Trans.

I obviously have full perms as the creator but in the object properties as well as if I transfer a copy to anyone... It has No permission.

I didnt know this was possible and cant seem to recreate it. Anyone else ever seen this?

check the contents or textures.

if one has restrictive permissions, the whole thing does, essentially.

although an item with mod that has a script without mod can still be modified, but copy and transfer restrictions will apply.

thats a thought...

but if i duplicate the item... like copy it into a new folder... the new copy has "normal perms" there it will auto assign transfer perms.

the other thing of not about the original is that the box for transfer is till grayed out even though there is no check mark.

this isn't so much a "problem" as it is something strange Id like to figure out. ya know?

didn't even catch it till i sold a few copies and one of the buyers asked why he couldn't transfer it to a friend. that wasn't my intent so i just gave him a new copy with the right perms.

Does it have a lot of textures? Did you acquire or create them? If you created them, did you change the perms to allow transfers? There's another thread in this forum dealing with the same thing; basically, if one of your textures is no-perm, you're fragged; the whole object is then no-trans, with no option to change it. If you created the texture yourself, you can go in and change the original perms to trans, then re-texture.

Welcome to the boards, by the way
