Not sure if this is the right place or not be I had a question....
I have seen some really good animated dance floors where there seems to be more then one texture or something and they blend into each other really well. Is this in fact textures or is it a script creating designs?
Thanks

Hiya
Most animated dancefloors are done using two methods...... with prims and with textures *lol*
e.g With textures you can create a stop frame animation within photoshop of different stages of the animation and then use an animate script to run through the frames.
With prims you can torture the prims so that one prim becomes a different shape and then just run a scroll or spin animation. Of course its possible to use both in a floor but be aware like anything in SL ....ALPHA IS A PAIN, dont use too many alpha textures as it will throw your sorting all over the place and certainly the ladies with thier prim dresses and invisiprim shoes will have troubles.
Other that that have fun, if you need a hand just im me in world.
