I've built an object out of several prims,so that it's about 7m high and maybe 2 m broad. I now want to shrink it down to a small size so that I can put it into a vendor. When I use the stretch mode with ctrl shift and the mouse, it will expand, but refuses to shrink the object any further down. Is this a know problem, or am I doing something daft?

Why do you need to shrink it at all? To put it in a vendor just package it in a box, and post a snapshot on the vendor display..

One of the linked parts has minimum size, thats why you cant shrink it. To fix this try the following : - make a backup copy of the object, its easy to break it - select each part and look at x,y and z size - if you find the minimum size there (i think it was 0.01) multiply it by your shrink ratio, so if you want to shrink in half, make it 0.02 - now select the whole linkset again and try shrinking
