How do I make a searchlight beam? I can make an alpha texture and place it on a cone, but the base of the cone shows the full texture and ruins the effect. I would like to get rid of the texturing at the base of the cone. Any ideas to help me please?

I have a completely blank texture that might do the trick if you "select texture" and apply to the offending area. I am not sure from your description what the real issue is, so I will look for you in world and see if we can figure it out. If you want that is. I will drop the texture on you either way.

In the editor, check the box for Select Texture. Click on the base of the cone to select only that surface. Apply a completely transparent texture. Done.
