I've noticed, that with some freebie sculpty stairs I have, that they seem, when rezzed..to have some kind of barrier, preventing me from walking up them. It's frustrating! Also, with a tunnel made from rock, as in a cavern or otherwise, I am unable to walk through that as well. Does anyone know why this happens?

Hello!,
The collision shape of a sculpty doesn't match its visible shape. To the physics engine sculpties are spherical in shape. So your stairs are inside a big invisible sphere.
To fix it, set them to phantom and put an invisible prim ramp on top of them. So your avatar will really walk up the ramp and not your stairs. But shhh, we wont tell anybody. It's like magic. We don't tell our secrets.

Yep, it happens with most sculpty stairs. I dunno about the other prim that's linked to your stairs. But it sounds like the creator may have put it there ready for making into a ramp. If so, you'll have to unlink the stairs and make them phantom.

From: Drongle McMahon Not necessarily. It depend how they are made. Tis true. It would be possible to make a flight of stairs with a squished collision sphere.
