In my current house, although all three parts SAY they are modifiable and copyable, when they go into inventory - or when someone buys them, they are NOT modifiable/copyable. What could be wrong? Or should I say, what are all the different possibilities of things that could be wrong? coco

Do they have nocopy/nomod scripts in them? The listing in the inventory is only a shorthand, and often a "nomod" object is actually modify-enabled, but with a nomod component.

Chances are good that one of the child prims had or has a restricted permissions texture applied to it, and now has the marker for that texture in it's contents, the restricted permissions of course effecting the whole of the build. You're going to have to go over it prim by prim, I'm afraid :\

Thank you all very much! The problem is solved. I had already tried all the textures, Jillian, and made sure they could all be copied and modded. Then April came along to help me, and suggested I make a copy of it with no textures on it at all. I did, and it still wasn't working. Then I went around to every prim in it and selected "content" - and there were about 10 textures in the CONTENT of the wall that should be there. Don't see how that happened at all, because some of them were grass, which I would try on a wall, and they came from different sub-folders of textures! (Grass from the grass folder, a roof from the roof folder, etc.) Anyway, that's one thing: Make sure your walls and other parts don't have something ridiculous lurking in the Content. So when I fixed that, and that didn't work, April said, "It's the windows." Sure enough - the script that was in the windows SOMEHOW was unmodifiable, and I didn't even recognize what the script was. It WORKED and everything, but maybe I had put it in the windows the wrong way or something. Anyway, I got the right script out of inventory - and yes, it was the only one and the right one, and had all permissions - and deleted that other script (whatever it was, it couldn't be read) from the windows (which had nonetheless worked with the wall dial that had come with the script, courtesy of Eboni, along with the right script), and replaced it with the script I knew was supposed to be in there. Voila! Problem solved. So: 1. Check the contents tab for stray textures that have no business being there and God knows how they got there, but they might be there. 2. Check the windows scripts in the contents, cause they may not be what your originally put in there, and God knows how they got changed, and yet still work for tinting windows, but they can change. Now it's just a simple (though tedious) matter of doing the other two house portions the same way, and it will be ready to box and go! Thanks to all of you for your help, and especially to April, who saw this thread and came to help me! coco
