Is anyone else having big trouble linking today?
Just making simple spheres 10 meters apart. Can't link them together. It's too far.
Thought maybe 1 of the spheres got bugged. So I created each sphere individually instead of shift dragging. Still same problem. 10 meters is too far apart.

I think "too far apart" has always been a bit tempremental..
I also think it has something to do with the size of the objects, the larger the objects, the further away they can be, and be linked.. Though I'm not sure and if it does don't think it'd make a huge difference..

I have an object that is already linked, but the child prims move and resize. Under 1.7 some of the child prims fail to resize. I suspect that the linkset size check is applied when linked prims move or resize and this new linkset size check bug in 1.7 causes some of the resizes to fail.
Oddly enough, if I rotate my object enough I can eventually get all of the child prim moves and resizes to work. Maybe you should try that: select all of your prims and rotate them around the world Z axis and then try to link them.
