Hi there - in Metabirds 139, 60, 45 on this building there are lots of these orange cylindrical shapes like dumb-bells that are only 1 prim - kind of a narrow cylinder (a rod) with a larger cylinder at each end of it. How do you make these (with only 1 prim!) ?

See what I actually mean here:

Thx!

Can't get inworld right now to have a look, but sounds to me like a hollow, profile-cut torus or ring.

WOW
This is the second magical shape I'm trying to figure out.
There is NO WAY that this is a Torus.
I don't believe it. Its a straight rod, 8m long and 10cm around. With a ferrule on each end. The ferrule is a 1 m cylinder shape, about 25cm around. If I were to build it, it would be 3 prims...no other way! but its only ONE! How'd they do that?

===================
I got clues on the second mystery from the original creator. (and "Yes" it was a Torus described further as: "The trick was to hollow and use the outer cut then squish them flat." I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Here's a picture of a one-prim thingie like you just described.

It's a tube.

x8
y.2
z.2
85% hollow
Hole size x .55 and y.3
Profile cut b.25 and e 0

Just dropped one to each of you inworld -- enjoy! :)
