The last few days I am having this crazy problem. if I link 2 objects together that even slightly overlap, it will cause one or more of them to act as if they are phantomed, making avies sink through the floor. for straight line cubes, no big deal. However, when your floor consists of triangles, cylinders and squares due to funky wall angles and such, this is a nightmare. I'm not that good at math to be able to figure out exact positioning and size of a triangle butted up to a cube. Lindens, PLEASE stop this craziness of the physics! Anyone else having this problem?

I had the same problem as well with my Display case. I needed it so avies could stand inside (like a museum dislpay for armor etc). Problem is the back wall and the two "legs" would turn phantom as soon as I would link the phatom glass. I wanted jsut the front to be phantom of te glass but had to settle for a three sided phantom. All and all the item I am going to sell will either be 2 or three pieces because of this.

you guys are talking about 2 diffrent things. Foulcault, you can't link phantom and nonphantom together. depending on which is the parent object it will either turn everything phantom or turn phantom off completely. Katiana's talking about things turning phantom when nothing should be phantom. i've seen other people post about that problem which is new in 1.6 (and i never saw it in preview) but i don't have a solution sorry. be sure to bug report it.

I had two prims linked together that WERE positioned perfectly (that is, mathematically, with no overlap) and one of them acted like it was phantom. It has since stopped doing that.
