i hope this is the correct forum for this.
i am trying to texture an item i have created and the 'repeats per face' are resetting themselves when i close the 'edit' window (usually to default, but often another number). Horizontal repeats are not resetting every time (but often), while the vertical repeats are changing everytime. i discovered the problem while using 'select texture' feature, but it does the same even when using the 'edit linked parts' option. After a bit of experimenting, this seems to happen only with multiple prim objects.
i have submitted a bug report (though not entirely certain it went through), but was curious if any others had experienced this. On a side note, due to an issue with 'dancing' prims (as opposed to drifting), i uninstalled and reinstalled SL yesterday on the advice of * Linden through Live Help...not sure that has anything to do with this, but...? *grins*
Thanks

Be absolutely sure you are looking at the same prim and same side of that prim. If you change texture settings with "Edit Linked Parts" and "Select Texture" on, those settings will only apply to the selected side of the selected prim. If you later click on the prim without selected the same exact side, you will see different texture settings.

Thanks so much for the response. Yes, i am absolutely certain i'm looking at the same prim/side. i'm going to attempt another uninstall/reinstall.
Thanks again *smiles*

I got this the other day and I've seen it happen before (no solution then either). It's INCREDIBLY frustrating - I'll set my metal bars (texture=1 bar) to 10 horizontal repeats and ten seconds later it's one again. My nice (ought to be) 1x1 wall texture is now .2x100. I just gave up and I'll go back to it another day. I think bug reporting is all we can do. I'm pretty certain last time it happened (and certainly this time) was just after I linked the parts of the build together. If it helps, last time this happened to me I left it for a while and finished the project no problems at a later date.

Thank You, Erin, for the response. i'm certainly glad to learn that this is something others are experiencing as well (noticed a similar thread in Linden Answers forum). Well, not glad that it is happening, but glad to know it is obviously an SL issue, rather than a 'shyloh' issue *grins*
Thanks again for the responses. Be well.
